Keep screen content purposeful and current

A guide for Northstar employees who own screens, submit content, or approve it.

This fictional Northstar example explains the responsibilities behind useful signage. Open Digital Signage to manage content and schedules; this guide does not publish or remove items.

One accountable owner for each screen zone

Digital signage governance is the practice of making clear who owns each screen zone and who is responsible for each content item. The zone owner checks that content suits the screen’s audience and purpose. The submitter provides the content and its proposed display period; the approver confirms it is ready for the agreed handoff.

Each item needs a review or expiry date so someone knows when to check whether it is still useful. A date recorded in this guide or in a planning conversation does not schedule, publish, or remove content. Use Digital Signage for the authoritative screen details and for the actual content and schedule changes.
