Lobby Screens
What belongs on the lobby screens, and how to request a slot.
A useful message, at the right place
For Northstar office and frontline employees who use or pass through lobby spaces.
Lobby screens give people a quick view of timely, useful information in a shared space. A good rotation matches the message to the location, makes the main point easy to grasp, and leaves out details better handled elsewhere.
Digital Signage is where authorized publishers set up displays, publish content, and manage playback schedules. This site is guidance only; it does not show live screen content or schedules.
Northstar is fictional. Confirm which locations this guidance covers, who coordinates requests, and which roles can publish before using it as local direction.

How the practice works
Plan for the reader; use Digital Signage for the actual display work.
Match the place and audience
The coordinating team considers who uses the lobby and what they need to notice there. A visitor entrance and an employee break-area entrance may call for different messages.
- Name the location or display in a request.
- Explain who should see the message.
- Check local relevance with the location team.
Keep the message easy to take in
People may only glance at a screen. Give each item one clear point and use another channel for detail that needs careful reading.
- Put the key information first.
- Use short, plain-language copy.
- Check that text and imagery are readable from the expected viewing distance.
Review, then publish in the right place
The coordinating team checks fit and clarity, then routes approved work to an authorized publisher. Display setup, publishing, and schedule changes happen in Digital Signage.
- Set a review point when the message is requested.
- Remove or revise content when its information is no longer current.
- Open Digital Signage to manage the display or playback schedule.
