Payroll Connect

Payroll Connect imports employee records and paychecks from the connected provider, and pushes approved timesheets out to it. Pay changes are made inside OneMango (Salary Management, or a step-increase schedule in Compensation Management) and are not pushed to the provider, so record them there as well. Imports and pushes also vary by provider: BambooHR has no paycheck API, Gusto takes no timesheets, Infor syncs employees only, and the Merge.dev partner path treats employment records as read-only.

Each sync matches a provider employee to a OneMango user by email address first, then by the provider's employee ID where it supplies one. Gusto matches on email alone, and Merge.dev partner connections reuse an existing mapping, then try work email, then personal email. A connection's Field Mappings page decides which provider fields supply the email and employee ID, and you can map someone by hand on its Employee Mappings page. Employees with no match are logged and skipped by default; under Import Settings you can instead queue them on the Import Requests page for an admin to approve or reject, or create their users automatically (which also needs Enable automatic user creation).

Yes — on the web and in the mobile app. Once paychecks are imported, employees see their own pay history at My Paychecks and on their My Compensation page: earnings, deductions, net pay, and year-to-date totals. A PDF pay stub can be downloaded on the web and from the mobile app, and W-2 and 1099 forms appear under Tax Documents from ADP, Gusto or Infor once an admin turns on Tax documents for the connection in Admin › Integrations. The separate admin paycheck console is for admins and HR, who can see paychecks across the organization.

Paycheck and salary reveals are admin/HR-gated and audited. Viewing pay amounts or salary data on the web requires a recently re-verified (step-up) session, so a logged-in admin must re-confirm before sensitive figures are shown.

Every sync is logged with start/completed/failed status, the dashboard shows each connection's 7-day success rate and overdue syncs, and admins receive a sync-error email. You can re-test a connection or re-trigger a sync from the dashboard. Failed timesheet submissions are flagged for manual re-submission rather than retried automatically.

Payroll Connect requires a license and is opt-in per tenant — an administrator enables it for your business from the Apps Marketplace. It is disabled by default until then. You also need an active subscription to a supported payroll provider (or a custom API endpoint) to connect.

Payroll Connect integrates with an external payroll provider (ADP, Workday, Gusto, Paychex, BambooHR, etc.) to sync data and surface paychecks — it does not run payroll. Payroll Prep (a separate app) turns approved timesheets into a per-employee gross-pay report inside OneMango that you hand to your payroll processor — it does not calculate taxes or net pay, and it does not pay anyone. Choose Payroll Connect if you already have a payroll system to sync with; choose Payroll Prep to prepare gross pay for a processor that takes a file.
