Stream Town Halls Natively — Inside the App Your Workforce Already Uses
Go live to desks, frontline phones and break-room screens — chat, upvoted or anonymous questions and polls while you stream, a stage wall for the room, and an AI recap after.
What Town Halls Helps You Do
Go Live In-App
Broadcast from an RTMPS encoder — OBS, Wirecast, or Zoom — or keep the video on Teams or Meet and run the Q&A, polls, and chat here. Employees never leave MangoApps to take part.
Phones And Screens
An in-app player on web and phones, and — while a session everyone can watch is live — the break-room screens at the sites the host picks.
Real-Time Interaction
Live chat, upvote-Q&A that surfaces what matters, and in-session polls — participation, not passive viewing.
Auto-Record & Caption
Every stream can auto-record for on-demand playback on its own page, with AI-generated captions on the recording, in the language the host speaks — so anyone who missed it can catch up.
Pay By The Minute
Pay-as-you-go — each stream draws platform credits per broadcast minute and per minute its audience watches, with no monthly floor. A session hosted on another platform is one flat fee.
Reach By Location
See how many of the people a session was for actually joined, by site and by the district or region above — with small groups folded into Other so no one can be picked out.
IN THE ROOM & ON SCREENS
Run the room, not just the stream
For a town hall people attend in person, the session brings its Q&A to the stage screen, the phones in the room, and the break-room screens at the sites it's for.
Stage Wall
A full-screen wall behind the speaker shows the question on stage in large type, the next ones by votes, and your company's logo — on the stage screen or as a vMix or OBS browser source.
Run Of Show
Moderators put a question on stage, pin it so it stays up after it's answered, clear the stage, or pause the wall — from the host console or the watch page.
Display Link
The wall opens from a display link that needs no sign-in, so the stage machine needs no account. A moderator's "New link" stops the old one at once.
Join By QR
A QR code on the wall, the host console, and a printable sheet opens the session's Q&A on a phone, after the usual sign-in — no event code to type.
Names On Questions
Each session shows askers' names to everyone, to moderators only, or to nobody. Anonymous questions keep no asker at all — and the setting is fixed once the first question arrives.
Break-Room Screens
While it's live, a session can take over the Digital Signage screens at the sites the host picks, then hand them back to their playlist. An alert on a screen always comes first.
AI-NATIVE
The AI layer a bolt-on webinar tool can't match
Town Halls runs on the same AI platform as the rest of MangoApps, so the differentiated moments work under one permission model — not as paid add-on tiers.
Catch Me Up
A late joiner gets a quick summary of the room's chat, questions, and polls so far — the standout feature for shift and frontline workers who drop in mid-session.
Q&A Clustering
At town-hall scale the question flood is merged and de-duplicated into themes with counts, so the moderator answers what matters instead of scrolling.
Instant Recap
A post-session recap — summary, highlights, and top questions — generated from the chat, Q&A, and polls and kept on the session page for everyone who missed it.
Recording Captions
AI-generated captions on the recording, in the language the host speaks, which viewers turn on from the player. A session broadcast here can also carry live captions while it is on air (on by default; a host can turn them off for lower delay), in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish.
Connected To The Rest Of MangoApps
→ Communications
A "we're live" in-app and push notification reaches frontline employees who don't have a tab open the moment a session goes live. Going live drafts a Broadcast for an admin to publish, and a finished recording can announce itself in the Communications feed.
→ Digital Signage
A live session can take over the break-room screens at the sites it's for — playing the stream, or the stage wall when the video is elsewhere — and the screens that played it are listed in its reach.
→ Calendar
Scheduled sessions appear on personal, team, and company calendars alongside meetings and events.
→ Home Dashboard
A "Live now / Upcoming" widget surfaces sessions right on the employee home page.
REPLACES POINT TOOLS
One native event stack instead of a webinar tool plus a video portal
Most operators stitch a webinar product to a separate enterprise video CDN and an audience Q&A tool, then bolt them onto an intranet for replay. Town Halls runs the broadcast, the room, and the on-demand replays on the same platform employees already use.
Zoom Webinar / Zoom Events
The dominant event tool — priced by webinar, not by employee
- Billed by the minute — no per-event license and no seats to buy
- Audiences are the company's own saved audiences — no registration list to import
- Replays stay on the session's own page automatically, with captions
Microsoft Teams Town Hall
M365's exec-broadcast and on-demand stack
- Frontline staff without a Microsoft 365 license join from the MangoApps app on their phone
- Keep the video in Teams and run the moderated Q&A, polls, and chat here
- One identity, audit, and retention perimeter — no parallel M365 surface
Slido
Audience Q&A and polling for meetings and events
- The stage wall, the join QR, and the Q&A live on the session itself — beside its stream and recording
- A scan opens the company app, where people sign in, so the room is your employees
- Reach afterwards by site and region, from the people the session was for
Vimeo Enterprise / Brightcove
Enterprise video hosting and OVPs
- Hosting and delivery bundled into the suite — no separate OVP contract
- Who can watch follows the company's own audiences, not an uploaded user list
- Captions and reach analytics included — not paid add-on tiers
Hopin / ON24 / Goldcast
Standalone webinar and event-engagement platforms
- Built for the full workforce — town hall to deskless training, not marketing webinars
- Catch-me-up and the post-session recap are built in, one click each
- Break-room screens at your sites play the session while it's live
Pair Town Halls With AI
AI built into Town Halls clusters the Q&A flood, catches late joiners up, and drafts the post-session recap — each only when someone asks, and only for people allowed in the room.

Frequently Asked Questions
Native. Employees watch inside MangoApps on web and mobile — there's no third-party webinar room to join. Hosts broadcast from an RTMPS encoder (OBS, Wirecast, or Zoom) and the stream runs on managed streaming infrastructure. A session can also keep its video on Teams or Meet, or have no video at all, and still run its Q&A, polls, and chat here.
Pay-as-you-go. Each stream draws platform credits per broadcast minute — its wall-clock length — and for the minutes its audience watches (5 credits for every 10 viewer-minutes), with no monthly floor. A break-room screen playing the stream counts as one viewer while it plays. A session whose video runs on another platform, or that has none, is a flat 500 credits. Any company can bring its own Mux account; streams that go out on it draw no platform credits.
Yes, when the session is set that way. Each session's Names on questions setting is Shown to everyone, Moderators only (the room sees no name; the session's moderators do), or Anonymous — the question is saved with no asker at all, so not even the moderators or the questions export can tell who asked. The setting is fixed once the first question arrives, and an admin can turn off Allow anonymous questions for the whole company.
Every session has a stage wall — a full-screen page for the screen behind the speaker, or a vMix or OBS browser source — showing the question a moderator put on stage, the next ones by votes, and the company's logo. Its display link needs no sign-in and works until a moderator makes a new one. A QR code on the wall, the host console, and a printable sheet opens the session's Q&A on a phone, after the usual sign-in if needed.
Yes, with Digital Signage. A session everyone can watch can take over the screens at the sites the host picks while it's live — playing the stream, or the stage wall when the video is elsewhere — and hand them back to their playlist when it ends. An alert on a screen always comes first, and a screen whose own Live sessions rule is off is left alone.
Yes. Streams can auto-record for on-demand playback with AI-generated captions on the recording, in the language the host speaks, and a moderator can generate an AI recap that stays on the session page, so people who missed the session can catch up. A session broadcast here can also carry live captions while it is on air (on by default; a host can turn them off for lower delay) — English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish.
Live chat, upvote-Q&A that surfaces the most-wanted questions, and in-session polls. Late joiners can tap "Catch me up" for a summary of the room's chat, questions, and polls so far.
The session's host, its moderators, and admins see Reach by location — how many of the people it was for joined, by site and by the district or region above, with small groups counted together as Other so no one can be picked out. Break-room screens that played it are listed apart, never counted as people.
A "we're live" in-app and push notification fires when a session starts; one tap opens the player in the MangoApps mobile app, and in the room a scan of the session's QR code does the same. Frontline workers join from a phone without a laptop or corporate email.
